What i think

For a tessellation you have to choose a variety of colors. You can choose one or two but it will sure look nicer if you choose more.  I chose 8 different colors; Blue, green, red, purple, yellow, baby blue, turquoise, orange. My tessellation was kind of like a hexagon I only did 3x4 on the front of my shirt. You can add more if you’d like to. Now you have done the tessellations on a paper put that paper inside the shirt and some newspaper under so that the colors won’t go to the other side. You are going to trace the tessellations onto the shirt. If you’d like to spread the colors I suggest to first plan how and where you are going to spread the color. And for that you first combine vinegar and alcohol and spray it onto the shirt. Then use a marker I used purple I just sprayed the alcohol then put the marker and just make my design. It really came out good. Well just hope this works well for you good luck. :)

steps

For making a tessellation shirt you will need: index cards, permanent markers, a white T-shirt, and alcohol. You are first going to make some patterns with the index cards make at least three so you can choose which pattern you like the best. After that you are going to trace your pattern on a piece of paper. Then you will color it, that way when you are ready to trace your tessellations to the shirts you are able to see the pattern under. Then after coloring you will trace your tessellations and then spray the alcohol onto the shirt and then add some color to it the color will spread, but make sure where you spray the alcohol where you want the color to spread. After making that you are now done

background

Tessellations can be sometimes made of different materials such as tracing paper, index cards, white paper, or maybe physical material. Tessellations are geometric shapes used in math. And we are doing this at class. Tessellations must have no overlaps or gaps. Puzzles are an example of a tessellation, tiles are too. Tessellations are created when a shape is repeated over and over again covering the whole thing and not leaving any overlaps or gaps. Also another word for a tessellation is “tiling”. The word ‘tessera’ in latin means a small stone cube. The term has become more specialized and is often used to refer to pictures or tiles.

Introduction

In math class we are doing tesseallations. A tessallation is a tiling of a plane using one or more geometric shapes, called tiles, with no overlaps or gaps. Tessallations are sometimes made of physical material such as cemented ceramic squares or hexagons. Tilings may be decorative patterns, but need to fit together. So in math class we are doing a project of tessallations on T-shirts. We are doing some tessalltion shapes for our patterns the teacher told us to do at least 3 different shapes.
We colored the shapes and then when we were done we sprayed the T-shirt with alcohol. The alcohol makes the colors spread and make it look nice. But before the alcohol we put the patterns under the shirt and tape it for it to stay. So we can trace it well then we spray the alcohol. And add some colors to it and make it look colorful and nice.
